1 day(s)

Feel the countryside experience by visiting some of the most charming villages of Karpathos.

Starting from the capital Pigadia, you will follow a northern course and pass through Aperi, where the Diocese of Karpathos and Kasos is located, and Volada. As you continue your journey you will visit the highest village of Karpathos called Othos. From there you will enjoy the view of the east coast. You will visit a very special workshop gallery and the local museum where you will admire a representation of a Southern traditional Karpathian house and all the homeware people used in the past.

Your next stop will be Pyles village, from where you can gaze at the west coast and Kasos island which is right across. You will visit the Open-Air Agricultural museum that presents as realistically as possible the villagers’ daily life in the past. The last village will be Mesochori. You would say that this village comes straight out of a picture book; a typical Greek village with its narrow winding alleys and the imposing Greek Orthodox Temple of Virgin Mary, famous for many miracles during the past years.

At the end of the tour, you will enjoy the breathtaking sunset while you have dinner at an outdoor traditional tavern. This excursion is different from the others because it is limited to 20 guests maximum.
